Greeting card of a cat in the ‘Gothic’ style, by Louis Wain (1860-1939). Printed in England on a light cream, 300gsm carbon-neutral Italian paper, made from 100% recycled post-consumer waste. Wellcome Collection.
Wain’s cat illustrations were phenomenally popular in Victorian England. Despite severe mental health issues, Wain continued to draw cats even while hospitalised.
All our greeting cards are 170mm x 120mm (approx. 5” x 7”) and blank inside, individually wrapped in a compostable wrapper made from plants, with a 100% recycled, 110gsm kraft envelope.
