Greeting card illustrating crimson Japanese camellias. Printed in England on a light cream, 300gsm carbon-neutral Italian paper, made from 100% recycled post-consumer waste.
Adapted from a woodblock print by Kan’en Iwasaki (1786–1842) from Honzo Zufu or Illustrated Guide to Medicinal Plants (1884). The work was first published in 1830 with over 1,900 varieties of plants and is regarded as the first comprehensive botanical art book in Japan.
